Frequently asked questions
- How is my data stored?
- Player names, scores, and standings stay in a database on the phone running the session. There is no account and no server. A JSON backup is a file you export. It is not a cloud backup and it does not sync to other devices.
- How do I reset the app?
- Reset draw clears the scores for that tournament. Delete tournament removes the draw, scores, and saved standings from the phone. Uninstalling the app removes the local database. Export a JSON backup first if you want to keep the results.
- How do I remove my data?
- Delete the tournament in the app, or uninstall the app. A file you already exported stays wherever you saved it. If the phone itself is backed up by the operating system, a copy can remain in that backup until the system removes it.
- Does the app require an account?
- No. You do not sign in. One organizer runs the session on a single phone.
- Why am I seeing ads?
- Padel Open Draw is free. A small banner can appear on the main tabs. A full-screen ad plays only if you tap Watch an ad. That tap is optional and does not unlock anything. Ads come from Google AdMob and are requested only when consent allows it. Refusing consent leaves tournaments, backup, and language settings usable.
- How can I report a bug?
- Email elberthcorniell@gmail.com with the app version, your phone model, and what you expected to happen. For a draw problem, include Americano or Mexicano, individual or fixed pairs, and the number of players.
- How can I suggest a feature?
- Email elberthcorniell@gmail.com. A short description is enough.
Troubleshooting
- The draw does not look right
- Check individual or fixed pairs, and Americano or Mexicano, before you generate. Americano does not use Mexicano pairing. Reset draw clears entered scores for that tournament so you can generate again.
- An ad did not appear
- Ads are requested after the introduction, and only when consent allows it. They are also skipped when the phone is offline or when no ad is available. The rest of the app keeps working.
- A backup will not restore
- Use a JSON backup exported from Padel Open Draw. An invalid file is rejected, and the phone keeps the current tournaments and players.
